International Open Mic

Vi får opptreden av Shabani og musikkgruppa setter opp instrumenter hvor flere kan jamme om de ønsker det. Senere på kvelden blir det karaoke.

Det blir muligens også mat laget av noen av våre internasjonale studenter.

Shabani:
Shabani er lærer ved Bagamoyo College of Arts (TASUBA) i Tanzania. Han har diplom fra TASUBA og en bachelorgrad i scenekunst fra Dodoma University.

Tradisjonell tanzanisk musikk har vært i sentrum av livet hans, og trommer er det viktigste instrumentet han velger. Men han underviser også i dans, koreografi og andre fag innen tradisjonell kunst.

On Friday 13 September, on the occasion of USN Global Week, we invite you to the International Open Mic.

We get a performance by Shabani and the music group sets up instruments where more people can jam if they wish. Later in the evening there will be karaoke.

There will possibly also be food prepared by some of our international students.

Free event, and is open to everyone. Welcome!

Shabani:
Shabani is a tutor at Bagamoyo College of Arts (TASUBA) in Tanzania. He has a diploma from TASUBA and a bachelor’s degree in performing arts from Dodoma University.

Traditional tanzanian music has been in the center of his life, and drums is the main instrument of choice. But he also teaches dancing, choreography and other subjects within traditional arts.
